My first bacon down under

I finally had my first bacon here in Australia (see the photo of the day). It was wonderful, long, crisp yet not too well done, and salty. It was great. It made me wonder where the best bacon in the world may come from, or who prepares the best bacon... Let us know.

Down Under

Today is my first full day down under. I went to the supper market and saw some bacon that looked different and almost bought it, but then I realized... I'm in a hostel and there is no stove, microwave, grill, or oven to cook bacon with. I do not believe that bacon should be wasted, so I'll have to wait until I get a place of my own to try this new bacon. I was wondering though, does Australia have specific or favorite recipes for bacon?
