Bacon in Seattle

If you are in the Seattle area there is a pork competition on the 8th of March. Tickets are on sale and it sounds like an extravagant night of wine and pork. According to Seattlepi.com

They'll compete for the title of "Prince of Pork" (or Princess, I would think), judged on creativity, classic preparation, and overall flavor. Nibbles also include some vegetarian options, and dessert -- bacon popcorn.

This reminds me of a quote I heard this weekend. "There are so many great vegetarian dishes that are made better by bacon."

Sorry for the lack of bacon

Sorry for the lack of bacon. I've been writing my lit review and I know it's not a good excuse. I did find a time line of different bacon fests. We are even on it, sort of. I'm always surprised at the number of bacon celebrations out there and wonder why we had never heard of them before.

Enjoy, but don't spend too much time with your on line bacon today and remember to go vote!
