Bad Bacon

Yes there is such a thing, when it is outdated better safe then sorry. According to the New York Times there were at least 21 super markets fined for selling out dated items. Apparently bacon was one of the most commonly found food items sold after it's expiration date. Make sure to check the dates and don't just grab what you see, no matter how much it makes you drool.

Enjoy,

Thanks for your comment, please next time leave out the swearing, but that's besides the point. The reason why bacon day is on the Saturday before Labor Day is so that we can have two days to recover before we are forced to go back to work. But you may have noticed, there are many bacon holidays and feasts out there. In fact, there is one group which claims every Friday is bacon day, so by all means please go ahead and have your bacon day on the 15th, but we will continue to celebrate on the Saturday before Labor Day if only because it is tradition.

How much do you love Bacon?

Are you going to celebrate Bacon Day 2009?

Alltop...

Alltop. Seriously?! I got in?
