Bacon Du Jour

This is a fantastic site (there are a few swear words so beware with the kiddies). They are out their trying all sorts of bacon combinations. For example Bacon and Red vines... okay they admit that it didn't really turn out, but how are you going to know unless you try. Coo dos to you guys and keep experimenting for the good of the bacon nation!

Update on the Boulder Bacon cupcake store.

Here is the website for this wonderful place called Tee & Cakes. If you are in Boulder, they are just off Pearl street and very easy to find. If you are visiting some of the best places are off the Pearl Street Mall, so while you visit Tee& Cakes, check out some of the other stores there as well (The Bombay Bistro is my favorite place in Boulder).

(Just Off the Pearl Street Mall)

And even though I tried to bring you the latest news about Bacon every and especially in Boulder, Bacon Today of course beat me to it or so it seems. Maybe Bacon Today just gave them the idea.

Austrian Candy Bacon

If you happen to be in southern Austria here is a new place to get your candy bacon, or chocolate by itself if you must. From France 24
What sets Zotter's chocolate apart are the fillings which range from the traditional -- caramel, apricot and poppy seed -- to the unusual: alpine cheese with walnut and grape; candied cranberry with porcini mushroom; or plum with caramelised bacon -- a huge hit in Austria.

National Pork Month

I know I'm late with the info, but October is national Pork month. In order to celebrate how about serving bacon on Halloween instead of the normal candy. If you want to serve something that is already packaged, check out these Maple - Bacon Lollipops. Otherwise there are bacon flavored jellie beans in the Harry Potter's Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, or Bacon chocolate bars (or flying pigs from the same company)), and there is always the classic Archie McPhee's Bacon gummies (although they are strawberry flavored).
